Competition

Competition is a major and fun part of the barbershop world that helps keep us focused on raising the bar of performing excellence. We come together in a spirit of lighthearted contest, to see who's really got top form. We root for each other, cheer each other on, and once the medals have been handed out, we sing and party into the night!

 Regional

Every Spring the Virginia Coast Chorus makes the trip to North Carolina to compete in the Region 14, which emcompasses Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee. Dozens of choruses and quartets come together to sing and compete. 2010 will be in Winston-Salem, NC in mid-March - please come be a part of the fun!

 



International

Every Fall  winners of all regional contests -- and a few "wildcards" --
gather together at International Competition. In 2010 International competition will be held in Seattle, Washington. You can  view the complete contest on a live webcast on the Sweet Adelines International website. This is the ultimate female barbershop competition --
